68% of voters believe that aerial spraying
should not be used for poppy eradication.
An informal online poll, conducted by the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan
during the month of June 2007 has found that 68 per cent of respondents
believe that aerial spraying should not be used for poppy eradication.
The UNAMA online poll permits respondents one vote per computer. It is an informal poll only and is open to participation by any visitor to the UNAMA website www.unama-afg.org. For September 2006, and based on data showing geographic location of servers, we estimate that up to 6 percent of respondents may have been UNAMA staff.
