UNAMA
February 2007 Poll:
37% believe that the
Afghan government should
talk peace with the Taliban but subject to conditions.
An informal online poll, conducted by the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan
during the month of February 2007 has found that 37 per cent of respondents
believe that the Afghan government should talk peace with the Taliban but
subject to conditions.
The UNAMA online poll permits respondents one vote per computer. It is an informal poll only and is open to participation by any visitor to the UNAMA website www.unama-afg.org. For September 2006, and based on data showing geographic location of servers, we estimate that up to 6 percent of respondents may have been UNAMA staff.
A new poll question appears each month on the UNAMA website.
